- buc1980ExplorerI have the torklift glow step revolution and I am very satisfy with them.Easy to deploy and store and very stable.
- cmarkjExplorerWe love ours. Very sturdy and have helped keep the TT more stable. One thing we found was for large dogs, they can be a bit slippery unles you put carpet covers on the steps. The dogs now love them too.

I narrowed it to the Step Above and Torklift Glowstep and decided on the Torklift. One concern I had while deciding was how far out the MorRyde needs to deploy. I store ours in an area with limited space next to it due to the rig stored there. With the Torklift I’ve had a few times I could not deploy them fully, but still far enough to safely get in. With the MorRyde I would have not been able to. Recently when I was taking the trailer back to storage someone with the MorRyde had pulled their rig out a bit just to deploy the steps. I would give some thought to if you ever got to a spot you couldn’t get the steps out how you would handle it.
Well I keep the TT in the back yard. I have room to put them down. And honestly. Should I ever pull up to a campsite, and the camper in front of me is so close that I can't put down the steps. I will just keep going.
However. some of the campsites we have used are to close to get the slide out because of trees. That is why I made sure the TT can be fully used with the slide in. - dpgllgExplorer

I installed to Torklift steps on our 5th wheel. Well actually my son in law did. Took less than an hour and we love them! The ability to deploy in tight space, they don't get stored inside your rig, they are so much more stable and the fact the riser height is the same are all pluses!
I am disabled and have difficulty going up and down stairs. These steps are so much better for me than the factory steps. I have balance issues and by adjusting the height of the riser it is so stable. We have a 14 year old cocker spaniel that had to be lifted in and out of the RV. With the Torklift steps he is able to get in and out with no problem.
These steps really do make a difference!

- TerryallanExplorer IIReason for asking. This weekend the spot the TT was on was considerly higher than the ground in front of it. We had to put a step stool below the steps. And DW being the very image of grace, Fell off of it. then we noticed the steps a friend had on his 5er. Seemed really nice. So I thought I'd ask Y'all about it.
Thanks for the feed back. - HammerboyExplorer

They look okay, but they would have to be cleaned good before you flip them back inside. They sure won't work if you have to store you trailer close to another trailer. We only have a foot or two, so definitely a no go.
Why do you get your steps that dirty? Mine come down on the awning matt, and stay pretty clean. Just need sweeping off.
Oh they get dirty, we had nearly 3" rain this weekend at the campground and the entire mat was muddy and the steps when we packed up this morning. You would need to hose off the steps to clean them, sweeping wouldn't cut it.

If you don't, or can't, use an awning mat, and the area is fairly wet and muddy, you'd be surprised where the mud and dirt will go. Or sand from the beach. Or wet leaves on the ground. If you camp somewhere other than on a concrete pad, the dirt has to go somewhere.
The OP asks what people thought of the steps, so I said what I thought. Don't get too upset about how I do things.
Just wondering. I have been camping for 35 years, in mud, sand, grass, gravel, (last night the rain turned the area in to a pond) and what ever that stuff is on the ground on the Blue Ridge Parkway CGs, and never did we get our steps so dirty that they couldn't be swept off, or quickly cleaned. There are rugs that fit over the steps that help keep them clean. - Addy15ExplorerThe MORryde Solid Steps came standard on our unit, and we like them very much. We just sweep them off before stowing and they work great!
