Every. Decal. Peeling.

Forget the hot air removal. Just redid mine starting with a hair dryer. really made a mess. Got a 3M eraser wheel ($) and put in a corded drill. Works like a champ, and also removes the adhesive residue. This was on a 15 year old fiberglass unit so the decals were really stuck on. Ended up taking back the 3M adhesive remover ($) as not needed. Wiped down with acetone before I replaced with new decal stripes. Check out some vids on utube using the eraser wheel.

Well I got the entire front decal off tonight using the wifes hair dryer. Going to go to Lowes or Home depot tomorrow to look for a cheap heat gun and those safety scrapers. I got a small can of acetone to use on the dried adhesive, which I'll start tomorrow. Any tips on that would be appreciated. Do you let the acetone sit on the adhesive before wiping? Or wipe it immediately? Will any type do?

As far as Plasti-Dip goes, that stuff peels off (I've used it on my TV). Thats the problem I have now lol.

I think I may paint it. I haven't decided yet though. I just have to find the right type of paing for fiber glass.

In the process of removing mine. One a month. When complete I will clean with Rapid Remover then I plan to paint them back on. There was a thread here about a year ago and the fellow had used Rust-Oleum spray paint that he got at wally world. All of the photos he posted looked great.

The real problem that I am having is DW wants the original colors on there. I want to use all Big Orange and add the orange and white Tennessee Vols checker board on all of the basement doors.
We will see what happens.

Ours started to come off. Monaco has sent all new ones to the dealership and is covering the cost of having them installed.

I'd love to paint it camo. I thought about that Multicam pattern too. Painting it a Real tree pattern would practically make it dissappear in the woods. But first things first.

I had mine removed and painted. Cost me about 6 or 7K. Well worth it.
