extending the hitch out of 2015 Ford Super Duty

anyone have any input on using a Reese Titan class V 2.5" hitch with 24" extension? according to their website I can pull up to 8K with WD which is within my limits.

about $500 for hitch and extension compared to $1100-1200 for the superhitch setup
