- mr__edExplorerWeather here in Tucson is practically perfect right now. Upper 50's in early AM, mid to upper 80's during day. I can hack that! :C
- Last_TrainExplorerHeaded to Garner State Park on the Frio River in the western part of the Texas Hill Country on November 30 for a few days . . . So 'cause of our variable Texas weather we may pack appropriate clothes at the very last minute! You just never know in this part of the country! :D
- SusanDallasExplorerIt was sleeting along with little ice pellets coming down last Friday. Weather in our part of Texas can change really fast. If you don't want to get caught in a sudden freeze, I would at least go south as far as Austin or even better to San Antonio. San Antonio is a great city to visit with lots to do and see. Our gulf coast is even better and you can swim in November.
- PawPaw_n_GramExplorerHigh of 55 and low temp of 39 (what we saw ) are in the 'normal' range for late Oct. Highs of 90+ to 88 for five or six days are not normal.
First freeze for the Lake Texoma area is Nov 6 on average. Forecast for that day is 84/58. - LynnandCarolExplorerLow 80's in Rockport, TX this week which is a tad warmer than usual. Normally would be in the mid-70's in Nov. and Dec.
- filrupmarkExplorerIn Texas if you don't like the weather just wait till tomorrow .

At a campground north of Dallas on the Red River.
It just hit 90 degrees.
Looking forward to winter weather where the daily highs will only be in the 60s and 70s.
Where were you a couple of days ago when we had a hi of 55 with freeze warnings up along the Red River? :) On the weather they had video of it sleeting.
But just wait around the weather will change.
Bill - azrvingExplorerDrive over to Cottonwood Az. 70's and 50's at night. Yesterday morning my fingers were freezing as we broke camp in Grants NM but by 4 PM I had shorts and sandals. :)
- Isaac-1ExplorerYou never know this time of year, the low was 31 in Texarkana last Saturday, and the high was probably in the low 40's
- BarneySExplorer IIIWe were in San Antonio in January for a month several years ago. Our whole trailer and truck was covered with about 1/2 inch of ice. The cold weather lasted for several days. There were two or three more cold days but not with the ice. IMO, don't count on the 60's & 70's up farther North until probably mid Feb or so.
Of course that weather could have been an anomaly but I don't think it was. The weather in the San Antonio area was usually great for most of the Jan- Feb and March was absolutely delightful up in the hill country.
We have been going to Tampa, Florida for the past 15 years except for that one trip to Texas. We enjoyed it so much that we are going again this winter for our last winter time escape from the frozen North. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. :)
