- dmcgiffinExplorerGreat replies. Just purchased a 2011 Chevy AWD Equinox. In the process of installing tow bar...wow, not cheap but not towing a dolly is going to be well worth it.
- dubdub07ExplorerAny Jeep with a transfer case that allows for shifting into neutral is super easy to set up, hook up, and tow.

thats exactly why we bought a two door (JK sport) - so we don't have to haul anyone else around ! we'll meet them, lead them or follow them !
we didnt buy our dinghy to haul other people around - we bought it for US, if you can climb in it, or don't wanna sit in the back....then take you own car !
most of the time i have the rear seat removed for our Old English Sheep dog anyway. - xctravelerExplorer

Define OLDER People. We have a 2011 Rubicon and I think we both qualify as older. we do carry a step for some friends who have mobility issues not related to age. Most of them refuse to use the step and get in just fine! - gwheelExplorerLast Oct, we purchased a 2013 Ford Fiesta, and set this up for towing behind our 37 ft Residency, and find this to be workable for us. Just got back here in the northeast from Fla, about 3 weeks ago. The vehicle is small, and weight is about 2500#. Setup is quite easy, just set gearshift to netural, and wait for the ready light, then disconnect the battery. I installed a quick disconnect on battery, and this works great. Ford says its unlimited towing with this setup. This particular vehicle would not be for everyone.
- tenbearExplorerWe tow a Subaru. If you don't mind towing a manual transmission the Subaru has no limit on distance or speed and the AWD might come in handy. It is also our daily driver. Automatic transmission Subarus are not towable.

- OutdoorPhotograExplorerFound this thread while searching for Jeep Wrangler. Great to see the number of times it's mentioned. I want to change from a 1/2 ton to a Jeep Wrangler and my daily driver with the intent of buying an RV instead of TT. DW is looking at an Equinox AWD so nice to see that mentioned too. We tend to keep vehicles for 10 years so no intent to get something different as a TOAD if we buy an RV in a couple years.
- cvbdslExplorerSorry double post.
- cvbdslExplorerHad an older CRV and it was great. When time to replace it the DW wanted something slightly larger as it would be "her" vehicle most of the time. Went with a 2013 Ford Edge AWD. It's my daily driver in the winter when weather is bad. We do find it more comfortable than the newer CRVs we test drove. Simple to set up for tow four down.
Ready to hit the road below (yes I do remove the power cable:B before we leave)
