fm antenna for indoors

Did a couple searches but didn't find the answer.
I have an automotive type am fm cd player in my TT.
It didn't come with one from the factory.
I would like to be able to pick up fm radio, but don't like the idea of drilling holes through an otherwise leak free body.
Is there a simple antenna that will do this?
Thanks in advance.

I ordered a tune trapper this morning, it is shipping today, and will be here by Tuesday.
So far, I like they way this Co. works.
I'll update after I get it in.

A VHF television antenna (of the proper impedance for the radio) will work just fine. The FM band is literally stuck in the middle of the VHF television band. If you have a TV antenna built into the RV, particularly one with the amplifier and whatnot, I'd work out how to tap into that (a coax splitter, coax cable, the right connector for the car radioโ€”which IIRC is not usually a standard F type connector, but something rather unique to that application).

Might try something like that tune trapper, myself. It's got to be easier than the 10' piece of copper pipe on the exterior. :B

Thanks yankeecamper>
That is what I was looking for.
A bit pricier than the Chinese versions I've seen, but it sounds like a quality product from a reputable Co.
I have no problem paying extra for that.
I already ordered one.
Thank you everyone for your advice.

Yup.. Now we are almost on the same page Gonzo.. Only you designed a 300 ohm antenna (Well you did not design it) and he needs a 75 ohm one.. But I took care of that.

Correction: I should have said 10 feet, not 10 meters. The wavelenght at 100 MHz is 3.0 Meters.

10 meters?????? for the 3 meter band.. how about 1.5 Meters long.

300 Ohm (this is the two screws on the back of many older HOME type FM radios)

Cut a piece of twin lead 1.5 meters as he said. Solder ends and in the middle cut ONE Wire,,, Peal just enough insulation to match the width of the twin lead (1/2 on each side) Strip the same amount off the reminign twin lead and solder.. insulate all open wire (Cover with GOOP and let set).

At the Radio end connect Twin lead to screws

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SCREWS but have a connector like on a TV (F-Connctor)

Use a balun/Transformer YOu can in fact use the 300 ohm flat leads as the "Remaining" wire above

Automotive radio.. Now this is a bit tough

Build the 75ohm version and use an adapter at the radio.

The adapter you need

YOu can also try that adapter with the rooftop TV antenna but I am told Winegard traps FM so that will not work.

What you need is a Diapole antenna.

Buy a regular car radio antenna and screw it on. It will work on the inside of the RV.

I know how to solder but don't have any equipment for it.
I assume the plug on the unit is rca type.
Is there an easy non solder hook up?
I was hoping there was a small antenna for this purpose.

the simplest antenna can be made with nothing more than a piece of twin-lead, available from your local hardware store.

Cut a piece 10 meters long and solder the conductors together at the ends. Then cut only only one conductor in the middle, then solder more twin-lead to those exposed wires. The free end of that connects to your radio antenna inputs.

Arrange the antenna in a right angle, corner in the center. This will make it omnidirectional. Place it as close to your ceiling as possible.

I've done this same thing for years in my home and other places.
