- paulavodExplorerOne of the replies refers to a 'chg wire' what is that. Will this keep the dingy battery from running down?

I just bought a Fiesta 3 cylinder 1 liter Ecoboost, which has a stick shift. I haven't towed it yet but it weighs under 2600 pounds and the instructions for towing are simply to release the parking brake and put the trans in neutral. As an aside the car is fun to drive--great low end torque, very good pickup, great handling, good ride, getting 40.4 mpg driving around St. Augustine. This Ecoboost has
the "eco" and "boost" at the same time.
I bought one last year and loved it so much we bought a 2nd!
It's a fantastic car, and really does drive the twisty roads like a go-kart, while still having a smooth ride and being very quiet. I typically average 41-43 commuting, and doing all highway typically see 48-49 and can easily average close to 60 if I take it easy and go the speed limit. - down_homeExplorer IIDidn't know it was job. A Fellow RVer askedd and some replied with help.
If we ask the time, would you say go find a clock? - jerseyjimExplorerBecause that is what this forum is all about. As far as "doing this guys job...." what drives me nuts is folks asking things like "how do I get from...to ....."? Get a map !
But this is what this forum does. And does it very well. Sometimes, there is actually good and accurate information ! - gatorcqExplorerI still wonder why everyone is doing this guys job for him/her? As earlier, all they have to do is goto FMCA or do a Bing or Google Search?
Even call Remco would produce a good answer. - down_homeExplorer IIThe Explorer 4x4 with v6 and the F150 4x4 with v8.
We have had two Edges. They have to be with the v6. Ours is the all wheel drive.
I forgot. The Excursion with v6 and 4x4 can also be flat towed.
And F250 and F350 - down_homeExplorer IIThe Explorer 4x4 with v6 and the F150 4x4 with v8.

Best for me would be a manual transmission Fiesta SE Hatch because it fits my space needs and doesn't include a lot of fancy extras I would rather not pay for. But I'm already there with a four-year old base-level Honda Fit with manual transmission, and that still has more interior space flexibility than either Fiesta or Focus.
Fiesta would be tempting for 1.0 Ecoboost if I actually drove a small car more than 1500 miles a year, but with that little driving, 40 MPG vs 30 MPG doesn't mean much. Saving the cost of 10 gallons of gas a year, the payout on a new Fiesta would take me about 800 years. - willaldExplorer II

All Ford hybrids are towable:
2006-2012 Escape
2009-2017 Fusion
2013-2017 C-Max
Indeed so, and their hybrids make excellent towed vehicles, much more simple to tow than many others:
1. No limitation on how long or how far you can tow, no need to have to stop and run engine every so often
2. Very simple hitch up process, no crazy procedure to go through. Just hook it up, throw it in neutral and go
3. Very solid, well established record of flat towing - People have been towing them for many years, and never any reports of any issues (that weren't self inflicted)
4. Very nice to have at campgrounds - Can move around campground in them very quietly, with no emissions (runs in electric vehicle mode at slow speeds like that).
5. Many have power (vacuum) braking on all the time, even when towing, so supplemental brake system doesn't have to push on pedal so hard to engage brakes, nor is vacuum power assist necessary to install in many cases.
We've been towing a Ford Fusion Hybrid (2013) for 3 years now, and its been great. Just over 60k miles on it, probably another 10k in towing miles, and still runs as good and is just as much fun to drive today as the day we bought it (just recently, bout 5k miles ago, replaced tires for first time, got 55k out of original set) - dubdub07ExplorerI am in the process of setting up my Taurus SHO to be a TOAD. Just bought it and looks to be a decent TOAD. Probably a little on the heavy side, but my 5200lb Grand Cherokee was still the nicest TOAD I have had with really good manners!!
Looks like I will need to leave the SHO in ACC mode and start it occasionally on the trip.
Triker33, is that the case with your MKS?
