Forum buddies list ?

I've enjoyed being on this forum for several years. I have gotten some great advice from really nice folks. I have also given advice when I could.

I have had numerous PMs between myself and other members. I know a lot of members, by first name, which makes correspondence more personal.

My question is, how many members use the Buddy list on the forums? I have never used it, and never heard any mention of others using it.

I do feel that I've made a number of friends on here, that I've often thought about adding as buddies. I think many people are afraid of trading any personal info on the internet, and rightfully so, IMO.

Again, just curious on the use of Buddy list?

  • I have used , and still use, this feature for many reasons. Usually to have a handy link to the other moderators or the multitude of RV friends we have met on the road the past fifteen years. :)

We have so many great memories from rallies, campgrounds, and travels, that it would be impossible to list them all. :)
  • I use it. Not for keeping in contact with PMs, but for following adventure. I can click on a buddy name and then check out their posts. My buddies aren't necessarily friends and maybe don't even know who I am... They are mostly people who do great trip reports and I don't want to miss them. :)

X2 on the use for future correspondence. JMO

  • Have a few in Buddy List but mostly just use PMs to keep track of those that I want to contact

For some reason I've never used it in over 10 years.
  • Thanks for your reply, doxiemom.

I have to think very few do. With around 100 looks at my thread, and only one response, my question has been answered.

This is a great forum, and I'm sure most of us know who our friends are on here, without using a formal list.

    Happy RVing to all,
    Jerry
