Getting 2014 Ford Fiesta SE Hatchbach (manual) Tow Ready

I decided to start a new thread because I just bought a new toad. I want to get it ready to tow. I want the lights and braking to be a permanent solution. I want to be able to "plug-in" and go.

So far I bought the following 2 things (uninstalled):

Blue Ox base plate: BX2622
Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit RM-154

I am looking at using the "Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System."

My 2015 Sunseeker 3170ds has a 7pin plug-in on the back.

If I take all of these items to my ford dealership, can they install them all and just have one plug-in at the front of my Fiesta?

I want simple and quick every time we hit the road.

I have 2013 focus the front is held on by six screws.Check with a body shop. I like the blue ox base plate not a lot showing when not towing.

The Blue Ox Aladdin tow bar folds up off to the side and can remain on the hitch while stored. There is a cover available.

The Fiesta front end will have to come off to install the baseplate, so you are looking at 3-4 hrs for install. I doubt if a Ford dealer would install any of those items, plus,I wouldn't let them do it anyway. Find someplace that does it as part of their business.

If you bought the baseplate and the other stuff at a RV dealer, have them install it. If you don't "trust "them, ask around other RVers for a shop THEY trust. Any "good" auto body shop should be able to do the job too...my advise is to stay away from any "dealer"...anything off the "beaten path" for these guys ("genuine Ford parts, etc) they simply......well, I wouldn't do it.
To my knowledge you will not void any warranty by installing a baseplate or a diode kit. g'luck!

Any body shop/car repair shop can install the items at a labor rate much cheaper than your dealer. If you look up the baseplate at Blueox it should give an indication of how difficult the install is. Usually 1-2 hours labor if the front end does not have to come off. When you buy the tow bar, your choice will be attached to either the MH or Car when not connected. I prefer attached to the mh.
