Getting back in after a 5 year break
As retirement looms SWMBO and I are considering getting back into the RV lifestyle after about a 5 year break. We sold our gas class A in the spring of 2010 when we realized we were not using it enough to justify the cost. An RV is a “toy” and if you don’t use it enough to justify the cost you probably should not have one in our opinion. We did not stop travelling but did miss the flexibility of RV travel. We considered a “fiver” but I quickly realized I did not want to drive a one ton pickup as my daily driver. Plus, it would not fit in the garage. So, now we are looking at used diesel pushers.
Anyway, my question is this – have any of you had a break of several years where you had no RV and then decided to get another one? If so, were you happy with your decision to get back into the RV life? Why or why not?
