:h - FisherguyExplorerI think his rear stabilizer is creeping down a little... ;)
- Sunline_FanExplorerYes, that's a '94 F-2410. '94 because it has the yellow/orange fade sun on the striping step up.
Sunline was involved in the lightweight fifth wheel market from the mid-'70s through 1996. They started getting larger by '95 as that was the first year for Sunline slide outs, which were only available in the fifth wheels. All '90s Sunline fifths were low sellers, especially '95 on, so they discontinued them (and truck campers) to focus on travel trailers. That is until 2002 when they introduced the luxury fifth wheel line.
Definitely a lightweight model for sure. A family friend locally here had an '82 22' Sunline fifth wheel, tandem axle, rear bath, gooseneck that she pulled quite often with her early '90s Dodge Dakota V6. - FrostbitteExplorerI've seen colorado's, Canyon's and Dakota's towing 5'ers before...Usually they're smaller single axle ones but there's the odd one that's tandem. If it's light weight and within the truck's specs, good for them.

The Colorado offers an optional V8 engine.
Did not know that. I thought they where I-5, as my father inlaw just sold his recently. - JBarcaNomad II

Hi Guys,
I'm the first to not condone overloading a TV, however let me tell ya a little about that camper and it may put this more in perspective.
That camper looks for sure like a Sunline. The logo, the color scheme and the way it is built. Sunline use to have a line of 5'ers that where very light weight and some with a single axle with a gooseneck hitch. Very light weight. The single axles ones where advertized pulled by a Datsun PU no less.... Sunline was building light weight campers way back when. And the tandem axles ones of the early years were very light too.
The camper shown in that pic "might" be one of these and I'll post the spec's.
A 1988 F-2250 Is 7 feet wide, 22' 8" long, has a dry tandem axle weight of 2,370# a dry pin weight of 720#, and a GVWR of 4,480#. However I think this model year was tan even though the floor plan lines up
OR a what I "think" it is
A 1993 F-2410 Is a 7 feet wide, 24' 2" long, has a dry tandem axle weight of 3,260, a dry pin weight of 755#, and a GVWR of 7,000#. and only 86" tall. Yes, the thing had a cargo capacity of 3,740#....
We do not know if the camper is empty or has gear in it. Maybe he just bought it... and had extra spare tires...
That camper would fit a newer 1500 truck like a glove. It's lower profile and only 7 foot wide makes for easier towing.
I looked up the newer GMC Canyons which I think that PU truck is. He may be in pin weight issues or not. Air bags may help if all other things line up.
A 2012 2 x 4 crew cab Cayon had a 1,418# pay load. They did not list a fifth wheel towing rating however if he has the V8, the 5.3 V8 had a conventional trailer tow rating of 6,000#. 5er's are generally higher. I can't find the GCWR at this point.

Point is, with that light weight Sunline and lightly loaded, this may not be as bad as we think.
Here is a pic of the 93 F-2410 from the 93 brochure
I sent a note to my Sunline historian guy but he is away for the holiday. He knows these things inside and out.
John - MvanderExplorerI think the op was refering to a mini pu towing a fw. Although it dosent look to be squished too bad. Looks arnt everything.

Ya gotta love those strap-on towing mirrors!
Yup, we use them, work great! - Miles_AwayExplorerAt first glance I thought he was referring to the height of the television antenna. Then I realized it was a parking lot light.
