Gray Water Tank Plumbing Info

Looks like I may have leak on the top of my gray water tank ... likely at the junction where it connects to rig. Haven't a clue what kind of connection that is or how to fix.

I discovered this when I had a bad sensor and decided to fill the gray water tank with dawn and take it for a ride ... but my driveway is "steep" and it's obvious that I left a trail going up the driveway.

Is the connection to the rig a rubber gasket which may have dried out or something more complicated? If it's a gasket I can drop the tank and replace ... but I haven't found much on the internet which describes exactly how the darn thing connects to the rig.

Any help appreciated.

    If you have an enclosed underbelly, you'll likely have to take down the plastic to get an eyeball on it. Check out your tank mounting system while you're under there. Many are chinzy. Mine was nothing more than a piece of 7/16" OSB board stuck between two floor joists. And it was half rotted from condensation. I replaced the support with a piece of 5/8" plywood with plastic spacers and weep holes drilled in for ventilation. Also added a few pieces of banding strap under the plywood for extra strength. Now the full water tank doesn't sag anymore.

    The rig is 92 Fleetwood Class C. No underbelly and the tanks are exposed - they appear to be held in place with straps. The connection between the rig/tank is at the top of the tank (can't see). Was hoping someone could tell me how the tank connects to the rig. Lots of post saying that if your gray water tank is overfilled it comes up in the shower ... but mine apparently spills on the ground.

    Any help appreciated.

    As far as I know it should be a sealed system between the drains and the tank. Only thing open to atmosphere should be the vent pipe out the roof. I really don't know what the connection to the top of the tank looks like. The tank is polypropylene I think, and the pipe is ABS or PVC. As far as I know they can't be joined with glue so probably a coupler of some description. Doesn't sound like fun to get to. Post pics if you figure it out. Sorry I can't be more help.
