Gutter Extensions

Right after we purchased our Springdale, I installed them. They did just fine for 8 years when I sold the camper. A tree branch even knocked one and it just sprung right back. They worked pretty good. If the trailer was level, the water dripping off the roof from the air conditioner never hit the trailer, but there was always a puddle on the ground. So we kept the dog bowl there to catch the water and it always filled for our dogs.

I love them as they do what they say they will do-extend further from the rig to keep the water off of the sides. And they hold up well.

Ok, its unanimous so far....but what brand / model do you use???

Cheapest ones you can get are in the laundry room.
A plastic clothespin will do the trick just fine.
I put the camco one on my trailer and my buddy put clothespins on his.
His were WAY cheaper and work just as well if not better.

OK, I just went out to my garage and dug through my drawers of old TT RV parts. I found several plastic drain plugs for my old Dutchmen TT water heater, anode rods for my Keystone TT water heater, door catchers, screws with the box head square head end, wire, window parts, an extra cap for my bumper, all sorts of stuff that I've collected over the years. Things I'll probably never use.

I did find the original gutter extensions that were on my Springdale still packaged in their replacement extensions (which were longer than the ones that came with the trailer). They were Camco and I remember we purchased them at Camping World.

I did a quick internet search and saw that even Lowe's hardware, building supply sells them now too.

Clothespins for 20 years! They work great.

Wal-Mart also sells them

I forget which ones I have on, but to keep them from flopping around, I put a dab of silicone under them. They can still be removed easily if they get caught on anything but the wind won't blow them off.

I think mine are Camcos? I used to use the clothes pins on my old lower trailer. on my current trailer the extensions are always in place and I don`t need to find a way to get up and down at 4 corners to install them!

The extensions are the best way to go. cost me around $15 IIRC
