Looked at all the replies to "Blanco1".
What they (you) are not taking into consideration is where "Blanco1" is located....Los Angeles = So. California.
"Camping" season is year round!
This is the land of "Gotta Have it *NOW* !!
It's been in the mid 70s to 80+ degrees this week (in mid Dec.), and in spite of the fires you see on CNN - there's still plenty of places to go!
High pressure, low pressure - or NO pressure, somebody will walk on that dealer's lot in So. CA - and MUST have....that one!
Oh, and by the way.....did I say....NOW ??
(Yesterday would be even better)
Dealerships in So. CA are where you LOOK at the RVs, then shop out-of state.....and ORDER exactly what you want - and of course, you KNOW
the prices of EXACTLY what you want.
Then *IF* some local dealer wants to meet the price you found - or is willing to come close enough to get your business - you can decide: Buy it there -or- elsewhere (as in travel for the best price).
*IF* you are considering purchasing something "in stock" (on the dealer's lot) you are now a "negotiator" in competition with other gotta-have-it-now folks that will walk in tomorrow or the next day.
****************************************
BTW - Purchasing cars and trucks is night and day compared to RVs!
Unless you are looking for something exotic, or must have the "blue one" on the dealer's, lot, you should be able to purchase (order) a car or truck at Dealer *Invoice*, which has nothing to do with MSRP (sticker price) - and is still above the actual Dealer *Cost*.
(The dealer NEVER loses $$ on a sale)
Dealer *Invoice* does not include any factory rebates offered to you.
If a rebate only includes units "in stock" - it's just another come-on, "playing" with discounted MSRP!
Actual Dealer *Cost* includes Dealer Holdback, and any factory rebates or incentives to/for the Dealer (not you).
Like RVs - you will never know the actual Dealer *Cost*..
Anyway - Good & happy hunting "Blanco1" !!
