Yep, it wasn't the hitch that caused or at least didn't prevent the sway. Two friction bars should be more than enough to handle the work. At least, they have been doing it for me for the past 40 years.
By the way, if someone is going to steal $100 worth of friction bars from you, you can bet they'll steal the more expensive spread too, if it's available for them to do so.
