You got that right, my wife's sister watched our house for us few years ago when we went on vacation. Kind of like having the fox watch the henhouse. When we got back my wife noticed all kinds of things missing, jewelry, CDs and DVDs shoes, clothes etc. My wife discovered many of her stolen items in her sisters apartment. She of course denied it saying she got those items from Goodwill and other Charity stores.
So we changed all the locks on the house the next time we went away and had someone else watch the house for us. We also installed Security Cameras and a DVR system. When we got back home my wife gets a call from her sister asking her if we had changed the locks. So we knew she had came back and had tried to get into the house while we were gone.
