Been using an oval laundry basket almost from the beginning. No need to take all of the cable out to use it. The cable is coiled trailer end in the basket first leaving enough out to plug into the trailer. This way only what is needed to reach the shore power post needs to be pulled out of the basket. Very handy if you are a traveller & only spend a few nights at any spot.
That's what we do and we leave enough out from the trailer plug-in so we can shove the basket under the trailer and keep what we don't need from getting soaked. Works a treat.
