- GordonThreeExplorerNever above 60. Slower if the road is beat up. My trailer tires are rated for 65mph, so why push it?

I will also do 65 to 70, 5er tires rated to 106! LT's. - fj12ryderExplorer III65-70, slower if there is heavy traffic. I like to move either faster, on the motorcycle, or slower than the surrounding traffic. I like moving faster, but pretty much impossible with the 5th wheel. I hate being stuck in a clot of cars.

I ask because I have heard people say "Never tow over X MPH" where X is usually 60 or 65 MPH. I can't stand to have cars flying past me so I am wondering what the issue is as long as your equipment is rated for it.
Simply trying to get an understanding of what others do. - camperdaveExplorerIn state (55mph limit when towing) I pull at 60-62 and accelerate up to 70ish to make a pass. Out of state I go the speed limit.
- jamesuExplorer60mph is my pace. I could easily tow at 70mph, but what’s the hurry? I don’t have to tow it work. TT tires, lousy drivers surrounding me, unexpected happenings so why push it? Keep it at 60.
