To the OP: What is the bed(s) configuration inside of your Class C? Depending upon that ... you may be able to just lay them on a bed surface while traveling.
This is more trouble than it's worth. Hang them on the ladder & get a cover for them.
Storing them on the bed or in the RV necessitates keeping them clean and dry, especially by sitting around the campfire or if it's raining the night before you leave. In the aisle-way of a small RV could be inconvenient for walking back to get something to eat or to use the bathroom.
