Hurricane insurance question

I am in the same situation as the OP, and am curious as to what an approximate price would be before I contact our insurance agent.

Good luck with getting hurricane insurance for an RV. After over 40 years of being a State Farm customer in FL, we lost insurance on our stick & bricks rental properties and we had no claims! We went into the "state pool" for insurance which is expensive and not comprehensive. Our present winter cottage is in a flood zone. We chose to live here anyway. We are insured for wind and fire but not for water, even if the water is hurricane related. You may have to make a choice also. lizzie

we have a replacement policy with a flood rider. It is about $350. per year.

Just buy regular insurance for a travel trailer , it is cheaper if you do not tell them it is permanent .It will cover wind , water ,fire , tree damage and maybe some other RVer might back into you . It is all full coverage .RVs are insured like an auto !

All of the RV insurance companies that I dealt with asked if the RV is used on a permanent site. If so, you have to go to a different kind of policy.
