My wife is 40 and I'm 32. Her son, my step son just graduated high school. We camp as often as we can. But due to crappy vacation benefits, that's not very much. We are considering selling our house and becoming full timers. Any advice? Where to start? Or how to start?any tips?

Search Workers on wheels, no membership. Or very active site workamper.com there's a membership fee but it's worth it. Also, BLM bureau of land mgmt. site. Hope that helps

My husband read this site for 6 months before we made the big jump. So, read, research, read repeat.On this site you will find tons of information. You are going to need a budget first. There are people on here who say they live on $10, 000 a year and others who say $60,000 a year.We work amp sometimes. Now we are at Cape Cod Canal waterfront site free for 6 months. BUT, we volunteer at the Visitor Center 30 hrs (combined) a week. Yes, this is perfect for us as we fish, go clamming, have lobster traps at our doorstep, bike, read and do photography here!We also have the money to still pay for food, insurance, healthcare, gas, payments, etc.Too much to tell you at this point....Start reading ?? and welcome

WORK CAMPING usually only provides free room and board. Their is NO MONEY changing hands. You will need to have outside money to survive.Just be aware...Roy Ken

I highly advise listen to Dave Ramsey and or Clark Howard.. both do radio show and the programs can be down load to listen to if not in area they are carried on local Radio.

Dave is probably the better if you have debt and want to become debt free.. they have couples on the show that have done what he recommended and they get to scream on the radio... " WEERREE DDEEBBTT FFRREEEE" it's cool as heck..

check website for local radio station that carry them and times. Some are live and some are tape delay.

There are many places the offer Workamping which is when you receive money and usually a site with full hookup and there are places where you can volunteer, you get your site free in return you are required to volunteer for normally 20-30 hours a week. Volunteering means that you do not receive any type of money. The Federal Parks, such of Corp of Engineers, and State Parks normally need volunteers.

What do you have to live in while workkamping? And is it big enough.
Do you have pets?
What will your monthly expenses and income be?
What kind of back up resources do you have to replace your rig if something happens?
What will you do for health insurance?
