I accept your apology.
This isn't about racism - it's about an untapped market that is racial. The industry is looking at ways to tap into that market. The obvious answer is to bring in people who fit the new market to help sell it.
My comment was based on the posts that decree there is no racism in the U.S. and that anyone who suggests there is racism is just "playing the race card". That is simply untrue. Racism DOES exist and not everyone who suggests such is making it up.
It’s all in how you “bring in people.” If you put out too much of a directed effort I can see how some would consider that racist (i.e. We had to help them get there because they couldn’t do it themselves). It’s a fine line. - toedtoesExplorer IIII accept your apology.

I may have over reacted if so I am sorry but your first line is what lead me to that conclusion. I am so sick of everyone playing the race card over nothing.Bird Freak wrote:

Any respect I had for you has gone out the window with remarks like these. Seems you may be as racist as the other people you are talking about.
I love it when a bunch of hetero white men state there is no racism. That everyone has the same opportunity to do and achieve the same things and it's just because others are too lazy or not interested in doing so. And that any time someone suggests inclusion, they are simply making up a problem.
Keep the status quo because if these other folks start camping WE won't have a campsite when WE want it.
I would love more inclusion in camping and RVing. Some of the best things I've done have been improved because of new ideas brought by different people. And this is one area that is so ready for new ideas and new people.
Why is it you want to control what others like to do? I could care less who gets into camping, boating or anything else. Color seems to only matter to the folks who scream racist all the time.
What? Really? Because I think it's a good thing to find ways to include people of all ethnicities, races, sexual preferences, etc., I am racist. - toedtoesExplorer III

Over the years I've noticed there's not a lot black RV'ers, campers, etc. I think it's more of a cultural thing, like blacks aren't big on NASCAR etc.

Did you actually read the post? Control? Where? How? Inclusion isn't an imperative, it's an invitation. Nobody is forcing you to do anything other than be open minded. This isn't affirmative action.toedtoes wrote:

Maybe they are foreigners who have travelled to the USA on a holiday, or perhaps they are US citizens. Either way, they are not white, and they are rving, and there is a lot of them. The Grand Canyon Area is a very popular spot for ethnic people rving. Some are white as well. Canada is an equal opportunity camping country, and people of all races camp here.
- buckyExplorer III don't care what color people are. I do know that too darn many of them are buying RVs and we can't get a site anymore. I did notice that all the corporations sponsoring this nonsense are pushing their own agenda and could care less who goes RVing as long as they go RVing.
