I cannot find a decent ice maker,like to keep the cost down but I like the ice we make at home instead of the campgrounds ice,melts to fast,just little compact freezer for ice like a compact and or a counter top.

Target, wallmart all have ice makers. Some around $100. Every now and then they go on sale. Not very big should be easy to carry and store.
