July 2014

Made my July 4th res at PirateLand SC. Guess what. They are nearly full. Glad I called when I did. I got 3 sites back from the beach, and close to a beach access. Good to go.

CALL NOW for Myrtle Beach reservations. If PL is full. You know the others are as well.

Interesting! We were just checking out MB on line, yesterday, thinking about something there in April. Maybe not. We did make reservations for one of our NYS parks for the July 4th weekend. You also have to make those well in advance. Prime sites book fast!

You should be able to easily get a site in April. Weather is good then as well.

Good chance we will be in the mountains in July as well. They are just up the hill from here. Our camping trips are to the mountains. Our RV trip is to the beach

  • We made our trips to MB in the MH years ago and decided we didn't like the crowds and tight spots so the only time we go we rent a beach house so the family can beach and I play golf.

Wow. I can't even plan what to eat for dinner! I used to book way in advance but now with crazy schedules can't. We rarely camped 4th of July because it was always too crazy, but the Outer Banks is a fun place to be on the 4th.

Thing is. For the MB CGs. You have to make your res way in advance. If not, You don't get one. So we make them, and IF anything should come up. We can cancel. It only cost $25.00 to cancel. But you can't buy a site for any amount of money in the spring.

Another thing about MB. From June 1 to Sept 30. The CGs are full. So it doesn't matter what week you go. Full is full.

And in truth. Staying at MB is more like RVing, not really camping. We camp in the mountains, We RV at the beach.
  • Wow I know that Myrtle Beach is getting crowded. It reminds me of trying to get into Topsail down in Destin. You have to make your reservations a year to the date just about and then you still might not get the site you want.

Guess I need to be calling Willow Tree for my reservations.

    Happy Camping.
