Kitchen faucet water smells like mildew

I would like to say thanks to all of you for your help.

I was having the same thing going on, smells with the kitchen sink running cold, and BAD smells with the kitchen sink running hot. Bathroom and shower smelled fine (or like bleach).
I wanted a new faucet anyway, so I replaced it.

The original was metal with copper pipe. The new was all plastic.
After the replacement, the smell went away!

So, I guess it was some bacteria growth reaction with the copper or the other metals in the faucet that was causing the smell.

Totally worth the $45 change.

On occasion our sprayer smells. I disconnect it, hose and head, and soak it in bleach for a couple hours.

Given that the smell is only in the kitchen, I would suspect the filter also.

Another thought, is the smell present for hot water as well as cold water? Generally, only the cold water is filtered by a kitchen filter.

So there is junk growing in the sink supply line. Possibly it was used and water left in it.

Just sanitize the entire system, it's a simple task.

Unless the well water has a mildew smell as it comes from the well, then disinfecting the RV's water system would be the logical first step.

Oh, what does the well water smell like coming out of the hose. The hose may need to be disinfected, also.

Try sanitizing the fresh water tank and system. That may take care of your problem.
