Leak at city water hookup

I noticed a small leak at my city water hookup after getting back from camping this weekend. I first noticed it when I hooked up to water at the campsite and assumed I needed to put in a new rubber washer, but I saw some leakage at the same location when I got home and parked the trailer.

The trailer is an 1989 Terry Resort. I assume I need to replace the check valve?

Will this one do the trick?

I'd assume this is an easy fix requiring no special tools?
  • I had same problem then I put the pressure reducing piece at the other end of hose which
took the weight off the intake area and no more leak
  • My black-tank flusher hook-up "looks" almost identical. I replaced it because when I attached the hose, it flooded the inside of the camper. I thought it was that check-valve leaking. Nope! Turned out, the hook-up itself was simply cracked. No matter what I could have done would have stopped the leaking. I replaced it, and no more problems. Your's could be cracked. If you have access inside the camper, swapping one of these out is very simply.
  • Did you use a new rubber washer that is not dried out? I know ny 'new' washers will get hard.
Did you check for any nicks or cracks on the fittings? And, is it leaking at the fitting or the hose?
Always check the simple things before replacing parts.
  • The city hook-up on my new Fuzion was driving me batty. I couldn't get the darn thing to stop leaking no matter how tight! Then I figured out that barely snug was its happy place and it didn't like tight at all. No more leaks.
