LED upgrade on C921 lights

I am considering upgrading my trailer lights to LED. I don't generally having a light issue. But it be nice at the table and bed to have some more light. But am concern not doing all lights. I have a total of 21 c921 lights. In the trailer.

Any thoughts and recommendation on LED lights?
  • Depending on what you need for your 921 bulbs. If all you lights are the 2 lamp overhead fixture you can use LED's like these. 921 bright white LED's

If you need 921's for a lamp then you need some like this. 921 bright white LED's.
I prefer bright white for my LED's. Others like them in Warm White.
Since you mentioned more light I posted bright white.
  • I changed all mine to those lamps (T10 base with 12- 5050 warm white led each) and they produce about 30% LESS lumens then the 921 they replace. They do not produce heat and use about 1/10 the power. I will change 4 to larger flat panels
  • The only reason to make the switch to LED is in order to save energy/battery life.

Most LED replacements are dimmer than the original incandescent. There are exceptions like Command and Rigid. My Command LED are around twice the original lumen output but cost $23 each.
  • Don't forget heat, those C921's get so hot they could almost start a fire. :M

  • Before you buy a lot of LED's, try a few and see if the TV works when using the antenna.
    Regulated voltage lamps cause interference.
Non-regulated lamps may not last long.
I am going back to 921's on some lamps so that I can have both light and an operating TV.
  • I'll second the "order a few and try them" idea. In my case I ended up using 36-1210 warm white panels. The super bright panels were an objectionable bluiush light.
  • I have been on the fence with these L.E.D conversions for a while as I don't think they give the right light that standard 12 volt bulbs do. Does anyone know of LED's that are identical to the standard ones?
  • I got these a few weeks back.921 led

They have 5 led's they are not as bright as the normal bulbs.
If I were to get them again I would get these 921 LED
They have an extra 4 Led's.
