- Matt1221ExplorerMy bother in law said he will do it with his tractor, he has a ball hitch for his front end loader.
- librty02ExplorerThese work very well on all terrain...

They also go on sale fairly often this unit would be around 1300 sale price is typically what I see - BarneySExplorer IIIMy son uses one of the clamp-on devices like shown above in red to put on one of the forks of his tractor. He has moved several of the trailers in our family campground that way including mine which has a tongue weight of over 1300lbs.
I would ask your family member for a favor. :)
Barney - Matt1221ExplorerYea I kinda figured a manual type would be out of the question. I do have a family member with a newer type tractor will ask him, what he thinks.
- drsteveExplorerMy buddy uses one of these clamped to the bucket of his skid steer to move his boat trailer around.
- Grit_dogNavigatorReconsider your plan Matt. I don't see a walk behind dolly maneuvering a trailer that size on a pseudo off road surface or however you described it.
950lbs is too heavy to latch onto a 4 wheeler or side by side too.
Skidsteer (sketchy without a ball mount, but doable if you're ok with chaining the hitch into the bucket) or a small vehicle/jeep with a front ball.
I have an old CJ5 that I used for exactly this purpose for a few years when we had a hoist that the truck couldn't get the boat into the side loader garage.
Friends/neighbors have anything similar you could use? - kellemExplorerDollies that run on tracks would suffice but terribly expensive.
I've seen video of those laying down plywood " guessing 3/4" " in grassy areas so dolly can more easily traverse.
You'll definitely need motorized with the tongue weight. - drsteveExplorerAnother vote for a small skid steer. A dolly is going to want to sink in if it's not on a hard surface, and it will get little traction for maneuvering side to side.
- Jim_n_StephExplorerMini skid steer if you can clamp a ball to bucket , I have seen the county fair use skid steers with a ball/ clamped on for moving trailers. If you have a tool rental facility near you. If the bucket has hooks maybe able to put hitch in the bucket and safety chains on the bucket hooks but not as stable

With 950# of tongue weight you aren't going to be wheeling that sucker around on gravel or grass.
Seems to be an expensive accessory for little use.
