Maxx turbo power vents

Hello, I'm looking for anyone who has a Maxx air Turbo installed on there RV. Any likes or dislikes . I now have the maxx air vent covers and I am thinking of up grading to the power vents. I don't want to go thu the hassle of removing my vent and installing new ones. From what I have seen it looks like an easy install.Do they move a lot of air? Are they nosie? And where's the best place to buy at the best price? Any information would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

  • Have had one for a couple years. Installed it ourselves over the bedroom and it wasn't too bad. Hardest part is keeping the wires out of the way so you can close your inner lid if you want.

We painted ours black (how are they not available in black?) to match our other covers on the roof.

Works fine, but not any quieter than a Fantastic fan we have in the kitchen. Moves a good amount of air though.
  • I have one mounted on my kitchen vent. I originally put it on the bedroom vent of my first camper about 10 years ago. Moved to the Jayco in '07. It works great but the motor is starting to chirp. Other than that its been great.
  • I have one over the bed in our small TT and had an issue with it. the fan blade rubbed on the housing and so I called them and they sent me a new one. I feel they have good customer service as does fantastic air. in fact I have both fans installed in the little TT. I chose the maxx air because of the noise level over the bed and once I got the new maxx air installed the fan worked great. noise level was acceptable and it also has the thermostat feature so in the early morning it will shut down so I don't get too cold.

I have the turbo maxx, the one in which the fan resides above the trailer inside the cover. I chose it because I thought it would be quieter than a fan in the vent hole (like most are), but it seems about the same sound level as a Fantastic Fan that I had in a previous trailer. I like the Turbo Maxx unit fine, but if I were doing it over I think I would get the one that pops up and down. They're just a little nicer looking from the outside IMO.

I have run the fan on mine for days and weeks on end, even while parked in the back yard. No problems yet. I have a Maxx Air vent cover over the forward vent, and the Turbo in the rear bathroom vent, so I can leave both vents open 24/7 and get constant air flow. On low the fan noise is quite unobtrusive, but like any such fan I do notice it on medium or high.

    X2... What he said.
