- DrewEExplorer III was at Big Deer state park in Groton, VT, and had a great time. The neighbors were all perfectly decently behaved, things were nice and quiet during quiet hours, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. I went for quite enjoyable hike of about 10 miles.

- BoldtningExplorerWe're in the NE Georgia mountains at River Vista RV Resort in Dillard.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe're boondocking at a very private corporate woodlot in the Adirondacks. With only three of the original 100 lifetime camping permits still active, we haven't seen another camper here in years. Our two daughters joined us this morning and have their tent set up on the other side of our little clearing.
- murphysranchExplorerWe're at The Lakes RV park in Chowchilla, CA. Its not even full! High eightys, turned on the AC at lunch, walking the dogs, playing with the three cats, reading old magazines, talking, and using the outdoor kitchen and grill for dinners.
It is the life. - travelnutzExplorer IIRV sales lot? Perhaps you mean a parking lot and like so many privately owned CG's we've seen all season long and not a chance we'd pay even a dime to be treated like sardines! Insanity! Heck, we'd not even stay like this if they paid us to stay there! That's NOT camping, it's just stuffing like what you do to a turkey before going into an oven...

Wow I've seen more room on a RV sales lot.
Like others...we skip the big three...Memorial Day, The 4th, and Labor Day.
But to answer you question...we will be home watching Racing. - ol__yellerExplorer IIBeing retired, we go during the week when it is less crowded. While the vast majority of campers we have encountered are caring thoughtful folks, a weekend warrior who tries to cram as much alcohol, smoky fires, and loudness as they can into the 3 day weekend can ruin a stay. Add in the crowded highway, and we'll go when they are working.

Agree, let them have at it.
I'll be at the Camp Backyard RV Resort. Too many crazies and twice per year campers out on the holiday weekend.
