National Marketing Classifieds - Wont stop calling!

I have my motor home for sale by owner. This company from Nebraska will not stop calling me and I am pretty sure that quite a few others are having the same issues with them.

They find your ad online, you know on craigslist, RVT.com or RVTRADER.com. They call and act like they are interested and they get you to answer a few questions about your unit, then they say the same thing every time "oh that's why its not selling!" and then they go into the sales pitch.

No matter how many times I tell them to stop they do not. They have complaints in the BBB and I just filed one with the Nebraska Attorney general.

Their numbers are:
402-403-5047
402-403-5048
402-403-5049

I would like others that have had problems with getting them to stop to post their experience here so that I can forward that to the attorney general's office.

    well, I guess I will have to tell you my secret. When I get constant calls like that, I thank then for the free fridge and am very effusive about it . How wonderful it is, then I think I hear them say they are going to send me a new washer dryer and then I get presistant about when is it going to be delivered. I go on and on. They eventually get annoyed with me and hang up on me. I know that is shocking, but it is so much fun. After a couple of tries like that they usually stop calling me. Essentially I convince them that I am just a tiny bit crazy. Have fun with those annoying phone calls.

    So scammers and marketers contacting people who have things for sale online is an "RVing issue"...

    I just looked at an old Verizon bill and found the above was wrong. I was paying $9 per month for caller ID without name.

    You obviously have a computer and internet service why not use VOIP service for free?


    Actually, my landline telephone and internet service provider and the same. It's all part of one package. 1.5 Megabytes. Best you are ever going to get out here.

    Some day I may have to give up my beloved land line. Too bad. It works so well. On my cell phone the sound quality and microphone are so bad that I can't hear what other people are saying and they can't hear me either. Forget about having a conversation with background noise around. No wonder we all text.

    Maybe VOIP would be better. (Whatever the heck it is ??) But, I have had the same landline phone number for 32 years. People expect me to be there when they call.

    But, nothing last forever. I'm not getting any younger either. Someday my family and friends will just have to learn to get along without the old dependable Caveman.

    For several weeks we had been getting calls every couple of days for some outfit selling duct cleaning services. One day, I answered the call and listened to the automated voice message. At the very end of the call, it said "If you would like us not to call any more, please press 3." I did that and haven't been called since.

    I had a hard time understanding why a company almost 100 miles away was fishing for business or why a home heated by electric baseboard heaters would need duct cleaning!.
