Need Advice on Problematic Trailer
Hi all - I'm hoping to get some advice on getting rid of a trailer that has had its share of issues over the years.
We've gotten to the point where we don't think its worth repairing, and can't imagine we could sell it privately, or get much for it in a trade.
The camper in question is a 2005 KZ Coyote 25BH hybrid (one tent end, four bunks in the back).
Last year we discovered that the floor by the entry door had some rot in it (soft/weak underfoot) related to a leak that we thought had been rectified by an earlier replacement of the hybrid door and tent canopy.
While that problem as not gotten worse, on a trip this year we discovered evidence of another leak due to staining in one of the interior lights and on an interior wall.
Upon returning home from this trip we found that the front corner of the camper had separated from the body of the trailer. The wood framing is in such poor shape that the screws pulled out of the frame.
Could we sell the working parts (fridge, AC, oven/stove)?
Do we put it on Craigslist in "as is" condition and see if we get any offers?
Would any dealer take the camper in such condition and give us something towards a new unit?
Is it worth trying to donate it (a search of the forum seems to suggests that this is a BAD idea)?
TIA
