Need tires..Shortage..Help!

I just got a shipping confirmation and tracking number. My GY Endurance tires are on the way!

I was looking for new trailer tires a little over a month ago. All Discount had in stock were low end brands. They had Endurance on order, but would no commit on an arrival date and I was going on a trip the following week. I called the local Goodyear dealer they had three, I needed 4. They said one of their other stores had them. When I called that store I was told they had enough for me, but most of them were already sold to other customers. The second store was about an hour away.

Had MAXXIS. Tread was separating at just over four years.
Big-O installed a bunch of the recalled tire stems that cracked and were leaking within a year.
DURO bias did not last even three years.
Denman Express (out of business) threw the tread clean off at three years.

Endurance is holding up very well so far.

Pretty tough to deal with Discount these days ,gotten pretty strict on tire size. Big O tires have always been pretty good to deal with , and they carry Sailuns .

Hate to disagree with QCMan but there is a shortage. My dealer tried to order me an Endurance and the have been back ordered since March from the supplier. I was only needing one, so got a Maxx. Made in Thailand but I believe it's a good tire.

UPDATE!...Once I asked for a refund I received this email message:

I told them to ship them to me ASAP! We shall see....Stay Tuned!

Well, it appears the tires IU ordered on Ebay were indeed coming from Direct Tire....And they are OUT OF STOCK! just received this email, after they charged my PayPal account over $600!....

I agree with you. But that is not really applicable to 14-15" rim sizes. And especially since the one or few 15" LT models are fairly rare and still rated far less than available ST tires. Same goes for 14".

Not saying these tires won't work (14-15" LT), but they are not the best choice when considering load ratings.

Interesting, thank you for the link. Those Maxxis LT's do look like a contender in the 225-70-15 size.

I stand partly corrected on 15" LT tire ratings.

OP, as said, Maxxis tires are good. As well, I've had good performance out of a couple sets of Kenda Karriers now.
You can get 2800lb rated 15" ST Kenda's for like $134/ea on etrailer, free shipping. It's just too easy to have them show up at your door without ever lifting a finger, if you're having issues finding tires locally.
