Last October I purchased all new propane hoses and a regulator. I got #66-7061 24" Type 1 SS Overbraid 1/4" INV Flare.
Here is a link 15" SS LP hose - WallynDianeExplorer

I did the Google search and I found the Marshall and the Sturgis SS braided pigtails.
I was seeking comments on which of those two pigtail brands is best. If they are the same quality I will buy the cheapest. This is the pigtails that run from the regulator to each tank.
Many places have the rubber pigtail. But since this if for a Park model where the tanks sit outside exposed to elements and critters, I wanted to get the SS braid pigtails. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Am I misunderstanding, you want a SS hose to keep critters from damageing them? What's wrong with normal copper?
Normal copper doesn't come with ACME Nut which has safety features and is designed to be removed/connected by hand....no tools needed to hookup propane cylinder - tuna_fisherExplorerAm I misunderstanding, you want a SS hose to keep critters from damageing them? What's wrong with normal copper?

Frustrating as I want to buy locally, but no one wants to sell. I have found sources via the web, but I don't know which is best. The Marshall pigtails are more expensive. But I don't know if they are better quality. Thanks.
Wow, they must have way too much business!!!!
Local Propane shop here is more than happy to make up custom hoses. The price they charge is no more or less than off the shelf!! - N7GLDExplorerMost ACE hardware stores carry stainless propane

- WallynDianeExplorerThe sleeves are on option, but I think buying the SS braid pigtails is cheaper. I don't know anything about the two brands I mentioned above. We are retiring soon and I wan't something as fool proof as possible. Thanks all.
- is_it_friday_yeExplorerHow about a braided stainless steel hose sleeve? I just saw some on Amazon. Anywhere from 1/2" up to 1 3/4". Secure it with zip ties?

My campground has many park models but they all use either 2 30# or 2 40 # tanks. No 100 # tanks are allowed. The CG owner has a propane tank filling station and 90 % of the campers buy from him.
I can find the non SS braid pigtails at several RV places and other stores. But no one has the SS pigtails. Because this is a park model, the tanks will be sitting outside. Some folks have had critters gnawing on their hoses. Thus the SS need.
