New here, need help!

I am going to become a full-time traveler, aka full-time RV'er. I will not have a permanent address or home. But here is the problem, many full-timers, such as myself, do not have an actual RV, but use a cargo van, minivan, or even car to live in and travel the country. There are tons of such people who have YouTube channels. You have to insure this with auto insurance policy and not with RV insurance as these should be officially converted with running water and power and perhaps registered with the state DMV as an RV of some sort.
If I tell ***Link Removed*** the truth, there is no way they would insure me or similar people, since they have to put down a garaging zip code of some sort. Some insurers even want to know where your car is parked at night: garage, driveway, street, parking lot, or carport.
So people like me have no choice but to lie in order to get insurance. I also would lie and tell them I am a homeowner since I own my car, which is my home.

Please help me so I can be legally insured and follow all the proper rules. I don't want to lie.
  • It's referred to as a domicile. And yes even a nomad today needs one.
Are you a US citizen, or with the Edmonton location, are you Canadian?
If US several states make Domicile easier than others, Texas, Florida and South Dakota are the most popular.
Go to Escapeesand review the site, this page is for domicile, but also has links to mail forwarding and other services.

If you are Canadian I'm not sure what groups to point you to.
  • When you see this ***Link Removed*** in a post it’s a clue.
  • In Canada there is no particular issue with only having a post office box. The key is to have the "legal land description" where the box 'lives'. My license and vehicle insurance are tied together in Saskatchewan to eliminate "non insured" operation. But there are many folks who full time in other Provinces.

The land description is required by banks and other financial institutions, too.

Do not lie to the insurance folks. They would use that to deny any claim that might be made.
  • There are many mail forwarding services that provide you with an address. It is nearly impossible to live without a legal address. Driver license, vehicle registration, banking, insurance, income tax all requires an address.
  • Do you have any friends or relatives?
Too much overthinking the "legality" of "stuff."

If you plan on perpetuating your entire life in a car, don't own property, dont rent, don't have a RV, uhh yeah, you're homeless, even if you have your own youtoob channel.
Find an address that is somewhat legit and use it. You're not the first or last person to do this.
