Noisy Water

Water is noisy when I run it. Kind of a low, rumbling sound. Am on city water at this time and have a regulator installed.

Any ideas?
  • Bad pressure regulator was the problem.

    Thanks for the help.
  • I think we found the problem. We removed the pressure regulator i had installed at the entry point to the TV and the noise stopped. Suspect it went bad. Will replacen it and get back with how it turns out.
  • Does the water flow seem to be steady or does it spurt or change pressure? If you turn off the city supply and use the pump & potable water tank, do you still get the noise? Can you tell where the sound comes from, or does it seem to be all through the water lines? Does the sound change when you run hot water?

At this point, I don't think of suggestion not already given, but perhaps some details about the sound might point someone here in the right direction.
  • Look for a pipe that is vibrating against something. Either secure or move the pipe.
  • the 12v water pump shouldn't even be on, if the OP is on city water.
  • Low water pressure and the check valve chattering at the city hook-up…
Or the 12v pump running, again because of low outside city water pressure…
  • Your water pump may be on by accident. So it runs when you open a faucet because the pressure in the lines drops. I accidentally turn my pump on sometimes as it is on the wall next to the stove.
  • You may be getting water with air in it. Just ask the park manager what the source is and if it's normal for the noise. Check your hoses make sure there are no kinks, as that will cause pulsation and noise.
