  • What the other two posters said. If you have a remote start inside, it works the same way.
  • The start switch is a rocker type. push on the bottom of it and that engages the priming. You will probably be able to hear the pump running. Hold it in for 15- 20 seconds.
    Now push the top of the switch and the genny should start. If not, repeat those steps.
  • On my Onan 5500 I open the access door to the genny and hold the stop button down on the generator for about 20-30 seconds...
