OUTSIDE SHOWER

Downside is it can muck up your campsite of the water builds up on the wrong spot.

The real downside is that it can muck up your campsite if the water builds up on the wrong spot for the next camper who occupies your site the same day you leave.

C'mon man, it's like the specially designed bumpers made for storing sewer hoses and, wait for it, "stabilizer" jacks. These things are big features worth many hundreds if not thousands of dollars. :R Perception is everything to RV manufacturers.

Easy solution - just add an extension to the shower hose and bring it around to a more convenient location. For us that was on the campsite side of the trailer at the rear so we'd always be walking on the under awning ground mat.

Even though I wear disposable gloves, I use it to wash my hands with hot soapy water after the dirty sewer deed and rinse out the sewer supplies storage bay.

I put it in the same category as outside speakers. The ones they install sound like complete garbage, can be a leak point, and are no longer necessary with all the fantastic sounding, portable bluetooth speakers that are available.

But you might find either one something you can't live your RV life without.

Ours in on the back of the travel trailer (Starcraft 235fb). I think that is the perfect location, because we can set up our shower tent and it isn't in the way, but it isn't on the opposite side of the TT entry door either. And when we use it to hook up to our outdoor portable kitchen sink, a short hose gets it to the curb side of the trailer.

I agree with you that having it on the street side of the RV kind of defeats its utility.

Soooo, rinse off the kids, dog, feet, or whatever and then walk around the rig in the sand, dirt, etc and get in the rig. Never quite worked out for us.

I use it on my M-I-L as she won't fit in my indoor shower, even though it is 30"x60"...

makes more sense I think than washing off your feet.

Apparently you haven't camped at the beach! :B

We also found it useful for washing off shoes, boogie boards and rinsing towels. It's also good when it's very hot, cg has no pool and you aren't at the beach. It's like running under a sprinkler. Downside is it can muck up your campsite of the water builds up on the wrong spot.

One thing, if you have one and don't use it, you still need to make sure and winterize it! I forgot the first year we had it and had to replace it in spring because it the ice cracked the seam!

Been there, done that. I never even thought about it when I winterized because I had never used it.
