Over filling fresh water

Well after hot glue gun and some eternabond tape overtop it seems to be closed up. It's not the prettiest job but hopefully it'll be effective.

Seriously this thing has been dripping for 6 hrs!

It's not leaking from a hose but rather from where the male end of the drain is melded into the tank itself.

I would not get in a hurry, and goop it up with the wrong thing. I would call an expert, such as the tank manufacturer, explain, get their thoughts for fix. You may have to get tank info from trailer manufacturer, and they might have some ideas. I have repaired ABS tanks, black tank with good results, but no experience with fresh water tank.

There are a number of RV techs over in the tech forum. You might post a question there, and get a fix idea, from someone with FW tank repair experience.

This plan came from a Rv repair guy. Of course he also suggested using a hot glue gun to partially melt the tank and reseal that way. I'm nervous to try that so he suggested the above idea.

Hey good news, at least you found the leak! It is really hard to get ALL the water out of one of those tanks. If it needs to be dry to repair, I'd pull the trailer up on 1 or 2 2x6s on the drain side, to move water away from the drain.

Any chance you can get some plumbers putty in there and then use your tape over that? Not sure if you could get enough pressure on the putty just using tape though but it is a suggestion

Ok. Seriously, why and how is this thing still dripping? I emptied the tank via the drain hose. But inexplicably the area with the leak continues to drip. It's not even at the very bottom of the tank. What in the world?

I wouldn't use silicon caulk, I'd use something with more sticking power. And if you do use silicon and it still leaks nothing will stick after that.
