I know this has been talked about 100000 times. But one last time.Going to scrub roof the best I can then put eternabond tape on all seams then paint the roof ( Tired of the white chalking running down the sides. So Wash, Wipe with assitone, apply tape, then paint roof. Now the big question?? What would you to paint the foof? I was told by one person He used Blackjack 1000, from Lowe's. What would you use? or what did you use? Want to get it right the first time' Just tired of the wite chalking down the sides of the RV.

I took the AC cover off, as well as the Maxxair covers. This allows you to thoroughly clean the areas that normally don't see the light of day.

I am going to use the liquid EDPM rubber roof on mine in a few weeks along with some Eturnabond tape. The liquid EDPM is just like the rubber roof material but is white and will, buy itself last a good ten years.

Did the Liquid Roof project this summer and am very pleased with the results. It went over the Eternabond tape very nicely and I have a great looking roof. And since it is 14 years old, am not worrying about a 12 year warranty.

Hi,

I put on Herculiner, it was a bit expensive, but makes the roof very tough, slip resistant, and one peice!

There is also some two part products, that will not disolve (like water based 1 part products when they have standing water on them for more than a week) such as the Liquid Roof EPDM product that does not flake off like the factory installed roof product.

The flaking keeps the outside looking white, yet leaves behind white particals on the RV siddewalls.

Here is a link to my post, it has links to the two products that I mentioned.

I wouldn't advise you try to stop the natural way a rubber roof works. In all likelihood you will be voiding your roofs 12 year warranty.

I have used Snow Coat and Black Knight (which was white) both over aluminum after sealing with eternabond. Our park model was done at least 7 years ago and is still good.
