if doesn't move and it should,WD40!!
Partial hi-jack.
WD40 has more solvent properties than lubricating properties.
No need to waste WD40 on a front cap.
Many better choices for - "if it doesn't move and should" things:
SeaFoam Deepcreep
Kano Aerokroil
Zep 45 yellow label
Drummond American Open & Shut
JB 80
WD40 (but not for bugs)
etc. -
but easiest (and cheapest) is 50/50 mix of ATF & Acetone.
For a quick temporary fix - "Racer Tape" (duct tape) is ugly, but does well.
Depending on what you are "fixing" - JB Weld is lots better.

Back to BUGS:
......DO NOT "PAM it"!
Red Max Pro (or Zep) coating - wash and used dryer sheets for stubborn bugs.
Don't want to (or didn't) wax or do the RMP or Zep?
Just wash & used dryer sheets for the bug removal.
Works great for your auto/s & trucks too - used dryer sheets won't harm the finish...:C
