If they are driving slower than I want when I am behind them they are an inconsiderate jerk and should pull over or change lanes.

"for many folks, camping is a back-to-nature thing"
"I go camping to watch the stars, sit around the campfire, enjoy nature"
"where people are trying go get away from the lights and noise, is for peace and quiet after dark."
"Camp ground."
Boy some people are in for a big surprise when they find out CG's are probably the furthest thing away from Nature.
There are State and Federal parks, BLM etc. Yup those are for enjoying real "nature"!
I have yet to see a CG where one could experience nature, see stars and expect total darkness and total silence the moment the sun goes down. :S
Perhaps THIS is the problem. People think CG's are going to give them the same experience as parking out in the middle of the desert, and that CG's must provide them with the same experience at all costs.
I think their first clue that they are not out in the middle of no where 'enjoying nature'......is the fact that everyone's RV is parked side by side like sardines. :R - NJ6PACKExplorerIs that Jr on the high side and Boyer on the low side?.....
Go Jr! - tragusa3ExplorerI think OP has a good point. And I've felt that way many times.
One thing the projector did do is bring folks together, nothing wrong with that. I think of it this way, I'm in a different mood and looking for something different out of my trip every time. Sometimes social, sometimes not...it's not for me to decide what my neighbor wants out of their trip, and it's luck of the draw as to which neighbor I get. I'm okay with that. Sometimes it works out well, sometimes not. That's the nature of using public facilities. Of course, I'm talking within reason, and I think a projector with soft audio is fine as long as the activity follows the quiet hours rules. - longislandcampeExplorer

Nope, not at all. I'm the OP of this thread. You know, the guy with the projector. I'm simply pointing out how you have a problem with a projector on a camper while others might have a problem with YOUR rv in a campground.
What would YOU think if a tent person said they didn't like your rv blocking their views and how they didn't belong in a campground? - ANewCreationExplorerto the OP...if you ever come to VA to camp, count us in. I am not a Nasscar fan but DH is. DH would love to see the race and I would come just to give all the grumpies something ELSE to complain about :B

Wrongo! Don't include me in your group. I work in the dark in peace and quiet, and I need people, noise and fun to relax.
And I'M here to tell you, a campground out in the woods isn't the appropriate place to force YOUR people, noise and fun after dark on everyone else. I can guaran-damn-tee you that your and others actions of this type will result in regulation of the activity. Believe me, people don't spend the kind of money they do just to have YOUR idea of entertainment leak over to their paid-for camp spot. - deleted-2ExplorerSometime ago we noticed fellow campsters with the projector.
They had attached a sheet or a screen under the front of the awning.
The corners were tagged to the ground with cord and stakes.
The projector was behind the screen...pretty cool set-up. - KittykathExplorer II

Boy, what a bunch of cranky hanky's.
If you want to camp in TOTAL peace and quiet, solitude and in total darkness, stay home or boondock somewhere.
No...
If you want to watch a big screen TV on the side of your RV, stay home or boondock somewhere.
The campground, where people are trying go get away from the lights and noise, is for peace and quiet after dark.
Wrongo! Don't include me in your group. I work in the dark in peace and quiet, and I need people, noise and fun to relax.
We did this once and had every kid in the campground sitting on blankets watching Finding Nemo...and I don't even have little kids. We made a few new adult friends too. They all called me "movie mom" that weekend. It was an absolute BLAST!
Unfortunately, I now have a grey camper and will have to come up with Plan B to continue this nighttime fun.
