power awning question

I have a 2013 Gray Wolf 26BH with the power awning, not sure of the brand name currently. I have had a problem with retracting it on 2 or 3 occasion's. I have been thinking it was the switch possibly however this weekend I might have stumbled on the reason by accident and was wondering if anyone else might know about this?

It appears that if you extend the awning out past a certain point, you have to push the extend button to get it to retract instead of the retract button. It's like the switch reverse's until you bring it all the way back in then it goes back to normal. Does this make sense what i'm asking? I know this may sound like a dumb question but this is my first year with a power awning and i'm still learning. Hopefully I haven't screwed something up. :S

That does make sense but I was worried that maybe I was screwing something up. I'm glad to hear that that's the way it works.

When your are over extending its actually wrapping the awning back up. You can hold down the extend button and you are correct it will just keep going until you have retracted it. My wife had this problem as well on our 1st power awning. She did this several times, you aren't messing anything up.
