Propane Grill Extension Hose

I found a good deal on a lightly-used Coleman Road Trip grill. I already have an Extend-a-stay installed on my tank so I bought a 12' extension hose. I picked the grill up today and it works great, but the tank is on the "wrong" side of the RV. The 12' hose gets me across and under the RV to the grill, and about 2-3 feet away from the motorhome. This is typically where I park the picnic table, plus I'd feel better if the grill was a bit further from the RV and/or out from under the awning.

I noticed today that the hoses will connect to each other (I was able to hook both ends of the one hose I have together.

Will these hoses work if I "daisy chain" them together? I know the one works, so why not 2? With another 12' I can put the grill anywhere I want.

  • Coupling two hoses will work just fine. We have done that many times. Just make sure the connections are tight so there is not a propane leak.

    Awesome! Thanks.

Ironically, when I ordered mine Amazon said that I had already ordered one in September of last year. Bought, paid for, shipped. I have no recollection of that and I definitely do not have a second 12' hose lying around. Before I buy another one, however, I'm going to go through the pile of yet-to-be-installed RV parts in my garage to see if maybe I forgot about it.
  • Okay, I'm a dope. I was making room in one of the storage compartments for my newly acquired grill. Guess what I found? That other 12' hose that I must have ordered in September of last year.

It's coming back to me now...I ordered it thinking I could extend the 20 lb. cylinders with it. But it's for appliances. I threw it in that storage compartment and forgot about it.

I strung the 2 hoses together for a total of 24'. It worked fine. I can put the grill anywhere I want now! And no messing with the little propane cylinders.
