PROPANE on the cheap

Dont know if this is everywhere, but went to top off propane today to try to get out again.
At least in South Boston Va, the Southern States farm store is selling propane for their normal $2.79 a gallon, but on Fridays they are offering 25% off that price.
I dont know if this is a local or regional price cut, but if you are in the Southeast, you may want to check.

    propane from my local conserv who supplied my house was $1.59 I only know that because I made the buyer of my house pay for the propane that was in the tank. A 500 gallon tank at 70% full was worth pretty close to $600 for me. I could fill up my trailer tanks at their facility for the same price.

    In my backwater they no longer fill tanks. Most everything is closed, and the few places that refilled propane are no longer offering that service due to "safety concern"

    Back getting bent over on exchange tanks for this guy.

    Our prices are generally the lowest around August. I hope that remains the same this year.....as we’ll be buying about 600 gallons. I’d sure love to see it around “a buck 25 “or so! memtb

    demand is down for all fuels. retailers and resellers, to continue sales and keeping their doors open adjust their profit margin to reflect the lower volume. operating expenses have not gone down, volume has. So higher margin on the lower volume is the only way to remain open. Economics 101

    Kingman Az, first week of April we paid $1.49 gallon for propane at a station, just big enough to fit in the corner when there was little traffic.
