Propane Tank fuel guage

I bought the AP products propane gauge that magnetically attaches to the bottom of the tank. It came with 3 rubber spacers for the rim of the bottom of the tank. On one of the tanks the rubber spacers failed and the weight of the tank crushed the sensor assembly I have sent them 2 emails over the past week and have never received a response. Has any body else had any successful dealings with this company....

Give them a few days... Many companies that manufacture RV stuff all but close the last half of January as far as the office is concerned. WHY,, Well they move for two weeks to a spot near the intersection of Interstate 10 and AZ Route 95... (Quartsite, the big tent).
  • I called AP products and they are going to send me new aluminum spacers and are replaceing my crushed sensor.....
  • had the same problem with the rubber spacers and a crushed sensor , took both sensors off and went back to checking the changeover regulator window every few days as I used to do . the sensors did work but trying to keep the rubber spacers on the tank when removing and installing a tank became such a pain as well as the fact that one sensor got crushed that was enough for me to give up on the system. It worked better with the phone app than it did with the remote readout .

  • yes, the aluminum feet are a big improvement. I have this on mulitple propane tanks, the trailer tanks, as well as 4 propane tanks at home for the BBQ, firepit, heater etc. works as claimed and is a nice device. works well with the android ap as well.
  • Your topic made me look into those - I ran across this on Amazon. If you look at the comments, the seller is commenting. Also, you will see others are talking about aluminum feet instead of the rubber ones. People are saying they contacted the company and they were replacing the rubber feet with aluminum feet - probably to fix your problem. My guess is they are aware of the problem. Please let us know what the resolve it.

Have not dealt with them but your situation does not sound promising.
