Recommend seasonal site in VA or NC

We are staying here for over a month. Clicky. Located near Boone, NC. Very quiet. Nothing fancy. Not many campfires. Can have the windows open 24/7. Although 60 degree mornings might be to cold for some it's great from us. :B

Take a look at Bethpage Camp Resort in Urbanna, Virginia. There should be lots of sites to pick from there. It's a great place for kids.

We keep ours on a seasonal site at Joe and Kays in Kill Devil Hills, NC, it is about 90 minutes from our home in Suffolk, and we go almost every weekend between April 1 and Dec. 1. There is probably a wait list for a site, but there also a few other CGs in the area that are open to seasonals, lots to do in the area, and very close to the beach, without as much crowd as VB. In suffolk, Va there's a place called Davis Lakes Campground. They have about 20 "weekender" sites on a lake where you can swim and then there's two other lakes where they pull your camper into a parallel spot right on a lake with a dock right at your step at every site. Stocked lakes, nice people but there is a waiting list to get the lake spots. Call and talk to Denise and she'll give you the details. My wife and I lived there for six months last winter. Cold but awesome. They were building when we left there in April so there might be more going on now. It's minutes from downtown suffolk which has a few good restaurants. About 1:15 from Va Beach. We would go back there in a minute if we get stationed in that part of the country again.

I am not familiar with seasonals in those states but you might start by narrowing your selection down to coastal, Piedmont, or mountain areas.

It is open April 1 - November 1. You can camp during the off season (no extra charge) but there are no utilities. I run my Honda EU2000i, flush the toilet with lake water, and eat out at restaurants a couple of nights each winter.

Thanks...Our rig is an Open Range, that's where we had last year's Rally. :) It is a nice place, and real close to Chincoteague.
