I have a 30-gallon surplus ($10) plastic drum I mount in the bed. No reason you couldn't go with a 55 gallon one though.
I used a 2" to 1-1/2" reducer, 1-1/2" gate valve (RV or pool filter), Banjo fittings, and sump pump hose to empty it. Filling chores are handled with a Flojet macerator pump.
