Better made is conjecture. Build methods and quality really hasn't changed much in the last 20 years or so. What is occuring is people are becoming more aware of the short comings and complaining about it on the .net on forums like this one (and others).
Yours may or may not be better now that you worked the 'bugs' out of it.
RV's are a funny thing. Most buyers prefer a virgin unit that hasn't been slept in or the toilet used in or cooked in. They want new versus second hand, which is why used units aren't worth much. Always better to trade in than sell outright.
been there did that (just like you) and practically gave the last one away.
next time I'll trade in and avoid the hassles.
