Removing sticky tape

Hello,

What is the best method of removing sticky tape from interior wall of travel trailer?

    Have you considered divorce? :)

I've had the best luck with a razor blade and elbow grease.
  • Assuming it's tape facing and glue, you can loosen up the glue with a hair dryer and peel off the facing and some of the glue. Go after the rest of the glue with Goo Gone.
  • I happen to prefer the smell of WD 40 over Goof-off or Goo gone. Goof-off tends to irritate my nose and when it gets under my wedding band it burns the skin.
  • Dynamite works but is messy so I use WD 40. Spray, wait a few seconds. Wipe residue with a rag. Repeat as necessary. WD will remove most price tag glue and most sticky stuff.
  • Carefull with Goof off on any surface. I just spent time polishing the rear window in my Polaris RZR after using it to remove paint that was spattered on it. Started to eat it like acid. WD 40 is safer.
  • Goo Gone and lots of patience. You can use a syringe to inject it under the tape around the edges to get things started.

Goof Off. Works great, won't affect most surfaces, won't leave the 'mechanics cologne' smell behind.
  • WD40...but try it in an out of the way space first. It shouldn't stain....Dennis
